I love this app. Its great when Ive got long drives so I dont doze off or get crazy bored. My only wish is that there were ways to sort my library. By title or author maybe? Other than that I love it.

Very good app. Love it! I found a good way to find a good book/ narrator is to search by narrator. Some are very good like Mark F. Smith! Great job!

Ive listened to almost 20 books and never had a tech issue. The Quality of the free recordings vary rather wildly (hey, theyre free, so shut your pie hole!) Some narrators & recordings are superb, really high quality. Like me, youll probably find a favorite narrator(s); look up "Elizabeth Klett" under narrators and listen to everything shes read. This app allows you to look up by title, genre, narrator, and more. I used this app to catch up on all the classics I never read & discovered some quirky lost classics. Great app!

This app used to be fantastic and one of my frequently used. Now its really buggy and wont let me download and listen at the same time. The interface is all screwy and it can be very unresponsive often. Please fix i need my audiobooks and I dont want to have to resort to using another app. iOS 9.2 iphone 6s

There is no alternative that I have found, paid or free, that beats this app.

I want to listen to some new books like from those paid services but all this app has is old books.

This is the only free audiobook player which Ive found usable. It can download entire books rather than chapter by chapter. That might not sound important but try listening to War and Peace or the brothers Ivanovich downloaded chapter by chapter. Itll drive you nuts. Second, it doesnt lose its place or crash when you turn your device off or switch to another app. Again, I cant count how many times I lost my place doing that with other apps. Also, it doesnt lose its place. Topping on the cake is the sleep timer. If you also fall asleep to audiobooks this one is really nice. Search engine isnt perfect, (I downloaded Walden to test this app) and I had to scroll down a ways to find it. On the other hand, the search for random titles is better than librivoxs web-sight. This is a keeper.

Books are better for driving. The make the journey quicker. Ive used this app for many years.

I cant get the app to open to anything more than a black screen. Or else it crashes in 1 or 2 seconds from a black screen. Im so disappointed!

Update: 3/13/16 I paid AGAIN and still do not get Plus books and I always get the librivox at the beginning. I love the app, but Ive paid twice and only have the functionality of the free version. I have contacted everyone I know to contact and it still isnt resolved. Disappointing Update ... I paid the $7.99 for the plus books but every time I try to listen to one, it tries to charge me again ... Am I just doing something wrong? I love this app. I use it all the time. Its nice to have the classics at my fingertips and have it read to me whenever I am traveling, cooking, cleaning, resting or any other time I cant sit and just read. :)

I deleted this app out of disappointment. The only titles I found interesting were all Librivox recordings, which I have the app for should I want to listen to constantly changing amateur voices through a classic. My search continues..

So many things I would never have thought to pick up are here...and theyre great!

Whats not to like about a well-written app that is free that gives you access to thousands of free books.

I am a big fan. I have used the free version and liked it well enough that I bought the "Plus" option as well. This adds some other books and also gives you the option of "better" narrators for some of the books. Wonderful for classics and other things but wont have new stuff like Audible. Audible is great as well but Audiobooks is free (or has a one time $7.99 fee for Plus).

Not sure what has happened! This used to work well. But I tried to find books by the authors name and the app got stuck at the "a"s and would not move to the selction! Finally gave up and went to another audiobook app.

I was really excited to use because it said thousands of free books and it is not and since I have to read Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief I decided to go and use audible and then I found this app but when I went to go search for the book it wasnt there and I was like what the heck it is one of the #1 New York Times Best seller so you would expect it to be there but guess what it is not so dont trust it it didnt even have the book I needed and I hate paying to use audible and other stuff

I loved this when it worked properly. I had issues with the stories in my library going away and the app crashing quite a bit.
